Book of Images
This risograph book contains the most poignant images created during my MA Fine Art Printmaking at Camberwell college of Arts, part of the University of the Arts London.
This risograph book functions as a form of book of hours, devoid of religious reference and meaning. it is simply a personal item that is individual to the viewer. Each copy is unique, as the order of the images is different in every copy and the nature of risograph printing means that no two are the same. Just as a medieval owner of a book of hours may cut the illuminations from the book, this too is encouraged with this book. When a page is cut from the book, this does not necessarily have to be in a conventional straight line. When the image is displayed there is no intended direction; they can be flipped, as they are double sided pages. This gives the viewer agency and control, highlighting the individuality of the nature inherent in all my work, no matter what form.
